Watch it. This is the banquet going live — the cour’s other spectacle after Megiddo. Skip it and Clayman’s exposure next week has no fight. Action peak, spoiler-heavy, sequential. Clayman tries to get the other demon lords to purge Rimuru by committee. Guy Crimson declines the paperwork. If Clayman is a demon lord, he can kill the slime himself. That ruling is the workplace’s seniority in one line: we are not your hit squad. Walpurgis becomes a duel with an audience of calamities instead of a vote.
Rimuru wanted this. Crashing the banquet was always going to end in a swing. Guy just took away Clayman’s favorite tool, which is other people’s hands. The producer has to go on stage. He hates that. The audience of old lords leans in.
Workplace seniority in one line: we are not your hit squad. Mail was a courtroom. Guy makes it a ring.
A one-on-one that is not
What should be Rimuru versus Clayman gets Milim dumped into it — brainwashed, Destroyer nickname live, the snack friend from Season 1 used as a murder weapon. Clayman’s real plan was never a fair duel. It was a dragonoid on a leash pointed at a slime in a hall. The honey diplomacy of Episode 16 is on the other side of a control spell.
Rimuru cannot treat Milim like Falmuth’s army. He also cannot lose in front of Guy. The worst matchup in the franchise, scheduled as an interruption. That is Clayman’s idea of clever. It is also a hostage situation with a smile.

Ranga is the third Tempest body in a room that expected a slime to arrive alone and beg. The underdressed party is a raid team. Guy’s generation watches a goblin-capital HR department fight a Ten Great member and a dragonoid. The workplace is having an incident.

Milim’s fist, Rimuru’s problem
Rimuru versus brainwashed Milim is a losing matchup on purpose. He is at a disadvantage, getting pushed, trying not to kill a friend and not to die in front of Leon and Velzard. Great Sage/Raphael can model a lot. It cannot make a Destroyer gentle. The honey trick does not work on a control spell. This is the cost of Clayman’s toy.
The hall is not Tempest. There is no trap of Geld’s, no sapper team. There is a slime, a wolf, a secretary, and a meteor with a girl’s face. The disadvantage is the point of the hour’s middle. You are supposed to want a cheat. The cheat has a name from a cave.

Veldora bursts in and takes Milim’s attack in Rimuru’s place. The first friend in the series, the sealed boredom from Episode 1, now a body in a banquet, doing the job a plus-one does: eat the hit meant for your person. Velzard is in the room. Family weather systems colliding is a bonus crisis. The title promised a banquet. It delivers a dragon blocking a dragonoid.
Clayman’s script had a leash and a committee. It did not have Veldora RSVP. The hour ends on that interruption, not the kill. Next week the leash turns out to be a costume. This week the punch is real and the dragon is the shield. Sit with the spectacle. The twist is the next title.
