Watch it. Youm’s king track and Ramiris’s warning are both load-bearing for the rest of the cour. Skip it and Walpurgis plus the Falmuth occupation have missing memos. Still a meeting episode, but with a stamp and a fairy. Sequential. If 38 felt like vegetables, this is vegetables with a decision.

Rimuru pitches Youm as Falmuth’s next king: a human face, an adventurer the West can look at, a man already famous for a lie Rimuru wrote. The propaganda of Season 1 becomes a succession plan. It is cynical and kind. Cynical because the West needs a human. Kind because Youm is decent and Falmuth’s people need not to be a graveyard with no government.
Myulan and Grucius sit in that pitch like landmines and support beams. The romance subplot is now court politics. Youm saying yes is a different job than playing champion on the road.
