Further, when he asks Tanya what it would take for the Empire to give up the war, she simply presents herself as a fiercely loyal soldier who only acts on logic and patriotic loyalty. He reports back to HQ, and Ildoa sends a message to the Empire proposing a treaty with no reparations and a restoration of prewar borders. The Empire’s leadership, actually being highly emotional about the large sacrifices already made, rudely rejects the offer from Ildoa and announces preparations for Operation Iron Hammer.

Season 2 is not a stat check. “Well-Intentioned Mediator” spends its runtime on whether Tanya can live with a choice already made — a posting, a thesis, a decoy, a ceasefire she does not get. NUT stages that as briefings and dogfights, not as a menu.
