What changed

On July 23, 2026, Crunchyroll and Toei Animation confirmed that the English dub for the TV anime’s Elbaph arc will begin streaming this fall. The subtitled Elbaph run already started in Japan on April 5, 2026; Crunchyroll has been streaming the Japanese episodes as they air.

No exact calendar date for the first dubbed episode was locked in the initial announcement — only the Fall 2026 window and the territories above. Extra cast and batch details are expected closer to launch.

What’s next / When it airs

Japanese / subtitled Elbaph episodes continue on the reduced 2026 schedule (about 26 episodes per year, two cours). New episodes have been landing on Sundays on Crunchyroll for many regions.

Dub-only fans can plan for a Fall 2026 start rather than waiting for a full catch-up of the entire series. Sub viewers already in Elbaph do not need to pause — keep watching weekly, then switch or dual-watch when the dub drops.

Where the franchise stands

After Egghead and a early-2026 production hiatus, the anime returned in April for Elbaph — the Land of Giants chapter fans have chased for years. The slower annual episode count is meant to raise per-episode quality and pacing versus the old near-weekly grind.

Should you wait or rewatch?

Caught up on Japanese / subs through early Elbaph: no rewatch required — wait for the Fall dub if that is your preferred audio.

Dub-only and still earlier in the Grand Line: keep climbing the catalog; Elbaph dub is a destination date, not a reason to skip intervening arcs.

Brand new: start East Blue with Episode 1. Jumping straight to Elbaph will spoil years of setup.
