Rimuru’s crew keeps avatar-running adventurers, which is great marketing. Frey visits. Milim panics because she has been skipping homework. Frey leaves with her. Shuna clocks what Rimuru has been doing in the hole. Gard arrives with the Council letter. Rimuru suspects Green Fury were scouts. That suspicion is the dungeon arc clicking into the political arc. The toy was always a showroom.
The committee votes yes, with fear
Maribel keeps using the Council as pawns. They debate allying with Tempest. Hinata is in the room. They vote to let Tempest in, then sweat the Eastern Empire and Veldora. Acceptance with an asterisk is still a leash attempt. The West cannot ignore a nation that threw a founding festival. They also cannot stop seeing a dragon in the basement as a WMD.
Elric wants a bodyguard
Hinata leaves. Elric, first prince of Engrassia, and knight Reiner want her to guard him at the Rimuru meeting. He still does not trust the monster king. She refuses: she is allied with Tempest, and antagonizing Rimuru is stupid. Elric takes it badly. Hinata still smells a setup. The prince is about to become Maribel’s loudest useful idiot, and the Saint already knows the temperature is wrong.

Rimuru takes Shuna, Benimaru, and Souei. Shion hates staying until he explains she is in charge of Tempest.
