Quick update for Bleach fans: Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War — The Calamity, the fourth and final part of the TYBW anime, premiered July 25, 2026 and is airing 10 episodes weekly on Saturdays, exclusively on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ internationally.

What changed
After three prior TYBW cours going back to October 2022, The Calamity closes out the arc that finally finishes what Tite Kubo started in the manga in 2001 — Ichigo Kurosaki and Aizen’s story reaching its end against Yhwach. VIZ Media confirmed the July 25 premiere at 7:30 a.m. PDT, streaming exclusively on Hulu in the U.S. and Disney+ in select international markets. In Japan, the anime airs on TV Tokyo at 11:00 p.m. JST, with delayed broadcasts on BS TV Tokyo (July 27), AT-X (August 2), Hiroshima TV and Niigata Broadcasting (August 4), and Sendai Broadcasting (August 10).
Theme songs are locked for the run: opening “I-BULL” by jo0ji and ending “Rasen” by 9Lana. Studio Pierrot continues as animation production.
The weekly schedule
The Calamity runs 10 episodes, releasing every Saturday at 7:30 a.m. PT / 10:30 a.m. ET on Hulu and Disney+, with both subtitles and an English dub available at launch:
Episode 1 — July 25 • Episode 2 — August 1 • Episode 3 — August 8 • Episode 4 — August 15 • Episode 5 — August 22 • Episode 6 — August 29 • Episode 7 — September 5 • Episode 8 — September 12 • Episode 9 — September 19 • Episode 10 — September 26.
That puts the finale at September 26, 2026, assuming the weekly cadence holds without a break.
Where the season stands
This is notably not a Crunchyroll title — TYBW has stayed on Hulu (U.S.) and Disney+ (international) since Part 1, so no new subscription decision is needed if you’ve been following since 2022. It is worth knowing going in: this is the send-off cour, built specifically to give Ichigo and Uryu’s arcs room to land after fans felt the original 2012 anime ending was rushed before the manga’s climax.
Should you wait or rewatch?
Caught up through Part 3? Jump straight into The Calamity weekly — no refresher needed beyond remembering where Yhwach’s fight left off. Behind on TYBW or never finished the original run? Start from the top with our Bleach Season 1 Episode 1 review before working forward, and use the Bleach anime hub to map out every season and cour in order. Brand new to Bleach entirely? Classic Season 1 is still the right starting point — this is a 20-plus-year story, and The Calamity only pays off if you’ve watched Ichigo’s arc build.
